Supaglass continues on Hill Supercar at Perth

Supaglass Industries will continue as the naming rights partner on Cameron Hill’s Supercar at the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint.

Canberra-based glass manufacturer, Supaglass, stepped up to naming rights backer at the last round in New Zealand with a predominantly black livery.

That will continue on the #4 Chevrolet Camaro of Hill for Supercars’ trip across to Western Australia next week, with further rounds to be announced at a later date.

It was a solid weekend for Hill in Taupo, with his second Top 10 Shootout appearance of the season and a charge up the field on Sunday.

Happy with the progress in his second Supercars season, Hill is focussed on the upcoming Perth event.

“Supaglass have supported me for the last few years, so it’s great for them to be centre stage as the naming rights sponsor for the upcoming round in Perth,” said Cameron Hill.

“I feel like we’ve had a competitive package at each round so far, just a few things outside our control have hurt the results.

“I’m not letting that bother me, and am focussed on putting my best foot forward for Perth.

“It’s exciting to be heading west again, Perth is a great city…if only it wasn’t so far away!

“The track is very tight, finding clear space in qualifying can sometimes be tricky. The nature of it being such a short lap time means the field spread will be very close.

“A couple tenths can be the difference between the front or back of the field.

“If we can get our ducks to line up in Qualifying, we can certainly challenge for the front.”

A pair of 55-lap races, one on Saturday and Sunday each, are the main drawcard for Round 4 of the championship in Perth.

The MSR team will also be visiting the WA town of Bunbury in the lead up to the weekend, with an event at Retravision Bunbury on Wednesday, May 15 from 9am-11am.
