The uncompromising Adelaide Parklands Street Circuit makes its return on the Australian motorsport calendar and marks the final round for the 2022 Dunlop Super2 Series, with Cameron Hill determined to end his maiden campaign on a high.
Hill has enjoyed an impressive maiden season in Supercars competition, which included an impressive performance on debut in the Repco Bathurst 1000. On the back of these performances, Hill will bid farewell to the Dunlop Super2 Series following Adelaide after it was announced he will enter the Repco Supercars Championship with Matt Stone Racing for the start of the Gen3 era in 2023.
However, Hill remains in contention for the Dunlop Super2 Series title heading to Adelaide driving his Supaglass Industries supported Triple Eight Race Engineering Holden VF Commodore.
Trailing team-mate Declan Fraser by 165 points sitting fourth in the standings, there is work to be done for Hill as he aims to take the series title in his rookie year, but Adelaide has proven in the past to be an unforgiving venue as the title will be decided for the first time on the tight street circuit.
Hill is also well placed to finish the series standings inside the top three and is in contention for the Rookie of The Year honours.
The Dunlop Super2 Series schedule in Adelaide is spread featuring two practice sessions on Thursday, both qualifying sessions for each race are completed on Friday before a pair of 19 lap encounters split between Saturday and Sunday decide the series title.

“I think it would be a nice way to finish the year if we could win the title,” said Hill.
“We need a lot of things to go our way, obviously I need to have my best weekend of the year and try to get some race wins. My rivals need to have a less than ideal weekend and then we’re on, but all we can do is put our best foot forward as you never know what may happen.
“As far as Super2 drivers in the field, I’ve been to Adelaide more than most. I feel that bodes well for me and it is a place where anything can happen. Everyone is racing for the title, so you can be sure that there are going to be drivers putting it all on the line.
“There are some with not much to lose and others with a lot more at risk. Declan’s in a position where it’s his to lose and that definitely changes your mentality.
“Knowing my future plans are locked in with MSR, it takes some of the pressure off. I can enjoy racing the car this weekend, soak in all the atmosphere and use the experience to keep building for 2023.
“If we can have a strong result and that translates to a good series result as well, it is a bonus. It will be nice to leave Triple Eight on a high considering the team won’t be racing Super2 next year.
“It would be nice to get a win on Triple Eight’s last Super2 event.”
